Make sure you bring your best costume, dress to your best every single day during your holiday, and bring your kids to the fun trick-or-treating events happening here in this picturesque and idyllic mountain destination.
Not only can you partake in annual events and wear your scary or funny costumes, but there are other things for you to do that will really make this an unforgettable holiday with you and your loved ones. You can explore the great outdoors, go shopping, eat some of the best food in the entire area, and chat with locals. What more could you want for a fun and exciting fall Mont-Tremblant getaway?
Halloween Party
One of the must-attend events for you and your family during your trip to Mont-Tremblant is the ‘Halloween’ party on October 29th! Head here any time after 9 am, and don’t worry about shelling out a fortune — this exciting party for people of all ages is FREE to enter. Dress to the nines and head to the pedestrian village on Chemin des Voyageurs in Mont-Tremblant to see the town truly come alive. You will see people in scary costumes, funny get-ups, and interesting hairstyles as you walk around with your kids. Make sure you visit each of the stations to see what people are selling, buy some unique crafts and souvenirs to bring back home, and dance the day away with live music and entertainers.
Hit the Trails
If you are interested in escaping the crowds during the Halloween season, then hit the trails! There is arguably no better time to head high into the mountains and go hiking than the fall season. You will be able to see the changing of the leaves, break a sweat, and avoid the throngs of people who typically come here during the summer months. We love the fall season for going hiking on easy trails with elderly adults or younger children, peak-topping hikes with avid adults who are ready to test their limits, or easy nature walks with new hikers.
Check out the Nez de l’Indien hiking trail, which is an 8.4-kilometer loop trail with just 350 meters of elevation. This easy and moderate trail is good for those who want to spend a couple of hours in nature without being too far in the wilderness. If you want to go a bit higher up during your time in Mont-Tremblant, then Mont Nixon is a MUST! We love this trail as a shorter-distance peak hike that is good for those who are venturing into the world of hiking and want to experience a more challenging trail that offers panoramic vistas.
Not sure if you are a keen hiker yet? No worries! Check out the La Villageoise Loop, an easy hike that is great for older adults, children, and those who want to bike or take a stroller out on an easy 6.6-kilometer loop trail that offers great views of the nearby lakes, pine forests, and mountains.
Go Out for the Night!
If you are in Mont-Tremblant for a holiday, chances are you want to go out to eat! Whether you are here for a Halloween family get-together with your children, cousins, uncles, aunts, and extended family, or you are here for a romantic couple’s retreat, we have restaurants that can fit the bill.
Interested in spending a quality date night together after a day at the Halloween parade? Make sure you book a reservation at the infamous La Maison de Crepe. This popular and busy spot is one of the best in the entire area, featuring tasty and mouth-watering food at the base of the ski hill. We recommend getting one of the crepes or drinks to enjoy while you watch the snowfall on the nearby mountain. Luckily for you, if your kids have a sweet tooth, they will LOVE this eatery – try the Chococo with a Nutella-like chocolate hazelnut spread, banana, and fluffy crepes!
In the Mood for a Drink?
Last but not least, if you are in Mont-Tremblant for the busy and bustling Halloween holiday weekend, chances are you want to hit a bar or two during your stay here. Hit up one of the local breweries, wineries, or bars to get the night going and dance the night away in your costume.
We love going to Le P’tit Caribou to have a few beers and listen to music that gets you up out of your chair. You can also head to the Microbrewery La Diable to sip on some carefully crafted cocktails and people-watch throughout the pedestrian village. Want something a little ‘American’ on your trip if you’re feeling nostalgic? We love La Forge in the heart of Mont-Tremblant!
If you’re traveling with a large group make sure you check out Havre Tremblant. Also try Manor Tremblant, Chalet Manitonga, and Lagom Sträla. All of these rentals are walking distance to the resort, perfect for a Halloween getaway.
