Springtime is a time of renewal in nature, but it’s also a great time to experience your own renewal! If you need a break from your everyday routine, Mont-Tremblant in the spring is the ideal destination to enjoy a variety of spring events and activities that will refresh your spirit. Check out our picks for the top activities and events in Mont-Tremblant for spring.
Go Hiking!
As soon as the snow melts, it is time to pack your backpack, hit the trails, and get out into nature. Although many travelers come to Mont-Tremblant to go skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing, springtime brings fresh rain, bright green colors, and warmer weather, perfect for lacing up your boots and hiking on the rocky trails. But where should you go? Mont-Tremblant is no stranger to miles and miles of pristine trails that take you to the top of the tallest peaks or bring you to secret waterfalls. Finding the perfect one that matches your group’s fitness and skill level can be challenging.
We recommend starting with Nez de L’Indien if you and your group are of moderate fitness level and would enjoy a few hours of hiking through the woods. This 8.4-kilometer trail can be done quite quickly in a trail run or take up to four hours if you go at a meandering and easy pace. Everyone who has done this trail, locals and tourists alike, loves the shaded forest, undulating terrain, incredible viewpoints of the Pic Johanssen, and nature along the way.
Mont Nixon is another great choice for those who want to spend a little longer out in the wilderness. If you are looking for a lung-busting hike, try Mont Nixon! This 8-kilometer path has 450 meters of elevation gain, so you can start to feel your quads and calves burning on this hike. This hike features incredible views of Lac Superieur and Little Nixon Peak along the way.
Finally, suppose you would rather just do an easy walk that doesn’t take too long, La Villageoise Loop is the ideal choice for those with older adults or young children. This 6.6-kilometer loop takes no longer than two hours if you are going at an easy pace along this flat and fast path.
Easter Celebrations
There is no better place to ring in the Easter holiday than Mont-Tremblant. We love coming here and celebrating with your kids, family members, or best friends. Head to the Pedestrian Village on March 31st to meet the Easter bunny, find candy, chat with locals, meet other tourists, and play fun games and play fun games that will bond you and your family members. Plus, there is tons of chocolate for you to eat!
Après Ski Tremblant
After you head out on the slopes for a hard run, or the snow has melted and you have been out hiking all day, it might be time for a few drinks. Enjoy some fun après ski action at Place Saint Bernard between March 16th and April 14th with good vibes, live music, and tasty food vendors.
Caribou Cup
Suppose you are a competitive person who thrives off pushing yourself to the limit. In that case, we recommend attending the Caribou Cup on April 6th at 9am. Bring your skis, snowboard, and snowshoes, and set off on the snow-covered path before the powder melts to see if you can cross the pond at the bottom. This is a popular event that brings in people from all over the world.
Enjoy a Morning Coffee
As you slowly wake up in the morning, it can be tempting to stay at home in your luxurious house. But, with the smell of coffee wafting through the windows from the cafes nearby, it might be nice to wake up and take a walk as the sun comes up in the morning. We recommend going to one of the nearby coffee shops to feel like you’re sitting outside at a Swiss or Parisian cafe in Europe.
Check out Au Grain de Cafe if you are in the mood for tasty espresso, good vibes, warm surroundings, and a euro-centric atmosphere that is great for having a pasty, chatting with friends, or doing remote work on your laptop. We also love O’Café in the Old Village of Mont-Tremblant on the Chemin du Village for takeaway coffee.
